I have a 99 gsxr600, only my high beams work, no low beams. i tried changing the bulbs and checking the fuses. nothing seems to work. has anyone ran into this problem that may know how to fix it? Thanks for the help. Also if theres anyone in the 714-909-949 area that would like to go riding on the weekends be sure to let me know.

It is the solder joint in the highbeam switch housing (underneath your left thumb), mine did the same thing. just take it apart, and re-solder. images/icons/wink.gif

Also behind the left side body work there is a yellow wire harness. There is a wire that goes into there for your head lights (I dont remember what color). Check the wires and the connections here... Mine was bad adn caused the lights to flicker... images/icons/frown.gif

Watch that left side harness. Mine had been chafing causing the headlights to go in and out. Finally shorted.

Check the yellow and black wire harness under the left plastic. Disconect them and spray some electrical connection cleaner. Two days ago both my lights went out and that was my problem. Good Luck.

I have looked at the harness under the left side plastic and I don't see any exposed wires from rubbing the fairing. I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with Hyper-White bulbs drawing more than the 55/60 that state they draw???? I'm just wondering if when they heat up the draw more and take out the component with the least resistance(the fuse)???? Any thoughts........... images/icons/frown.gif

I would have to say check inside the switch for solder that has come off the contact...mine had the same exact problem.
