nice mileage. how many intake manifold gaskets did you go thru? my buddy did 2 in 32000 miles. thats why i bought mine wiht the 4.7 and not the bigger v8. wish i bought the bigger v8 tho, for towing purposes only.

Ive actually been very lucky. never had to do any engine work up until now

I am however on my 3rd transmission. My dad got this truck new in 98( i was 12 :lol) and we did all the work to it by our selves. He sold it to me when i was 18. Its been an amazing truck so i dont ever want to sell it.

eventually it will just become a farm truck but i need it to take my bike to track for the time being :frantic

My current problem could be a head gasket though :dunno Im going to do a compression test on it this week and take it from there. Either way though its getting a new valve train. It deserves it after the abuse and miles its been through :lol

nice, your lucky. the whole intake manifold issue steered me away from the 1500. my 4.7 quad cab/tow pkg does just fine. good for wheeling, playing in the snow, and towing to trackdays. i am about to drop 1000 on a front suspension rebuild :(

I thought i was the only one :lol

Is your lifted at all or at stock height? I have almost 1.5"'s of play both to the left and right on my steering wheel. I didnt know if it was from my lift kit or the bigger tires. Im planning on doing a full bushing kit to see if that fixes anything :dunno

not really lifted. torsion bars jacked all the way up to be level w/rear. sittin on 31" nitto terra grapplers. i dont put any money into my truck. its my DD and my toy hauler. i only mod my bike and do trackdays from now on. i got out of modding and imports and scca racing and got into a faster sport. motorcycle racing...well trackdays and riding.
