Need to change the front tire on my '99 600 gixxer. Mainly use it for commuting on interstates and occasional weekend rides. A dealer recommended 120/70-117 Battlax BT-020. I'm not a very aggressive rider. Are there other tires I should look at? Appreciate suggestions from y'all gixxer gurus.

you should always put the same brand/model of tires for the front and rear....if you mix and match...your stability WILL be sacraficed..

I have Macadam 100X...great mileage...stick to the groud well...even though not as good as the high performance tire...

BT020 is also a good choice....

I agree with Leo. Roll the same brand all the way around. From the sounds of your riding style... I would use either of the 2 leo suggested. The bridgestone's are good mileage buns. images/icons/tongue.gif

I have been hearing a lot of good about the BT010s... I am not sure if the 020 is the front to it or not.. but I hear they work nice...

John</td></tr></table></td></tr></table></BLOCKQUOTE>I'm waiting for my current set to wear out, then I'm definitely going for a mix of BT-010 front & BT-020 rear on my GSXR400.

I need the grip, but a sports rear will wear out in like 3 months with my 90km daily commute. So no choice there but a sports-touring rear. Plus, I hear a lot of good things about these new Bridgestones (both 010 & 020) especially about their wet weather performance.

Another combo option would be an MEZ-3 front with an MEZ-4 rear.
