I am converting my 1127 katana clutch back to a diaphram clutch for more holding power and had some questions. I have all the parts from my 1127 gixxer but the inner basket won't go on the shaft far enough in the katana basket as it has a spacer holding it outward. I measured and if i removed the spacer it would all work i believe?


Is this possible and can i cut it out or machine it down to the same height as the one needed? Any other tips or things i might miss?

Well it appears the output shaft is not long enough to get the nut on with the diaphram clutch on the katana coil spring basket?

I thought it was possible to swap these parts but it looks like they cannot be?

The crank drive gear on the kat is helical and the gixxer is straight cut.
