I just picked up a leftover 03 750 out of the crate. I'[ve only put 30 miles on it so far, but the ride feels stiff and bouncy.
anyone know the weight of a rider this is set up for or where i can find a good link to basic suspension setup on this particular bike?
or even any suggestions from anyone the same weight w/ the same bike would be great.
thanks

Give it a little time to break in and loosen up. Just like the motor, the pistons in the forks/shock need some time to work in.
I'll see if I can find the link to setting you base sag numbers, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

get your sag set up first.
youll want 35mm's up front, and 25mm's out back for your rider sag.
free sag should be about 10mm's up front and 5mm's out back. but rider sag is more important.

Do you have baseline sag numbers for a 200 lb'r on a '03 600, too? Could use a good starting point on my setup. Thanks!

It doesn't make alot of difference what the bike is or the rider weight. If you can't get the 35-38mm of rider sag up front with 10-12mm free sag, then you need different springs. Same with the rear.

Yup, unless they changed the spring rates on the 03 gixxers, the springs are too soft eor your weight...Check with GMD Computrac, they can help ya sort it out.. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
