Well just bought this mount and let me say first that this is one sturdy mount. This thing isnt going anywhere. Although I have no camera for the mount nor do I want one, the mount would be perfect for a camera and im sure it would be very easy to install a camera on it. I basically bought the mount for my GPS which Ive included a pic.

All I had to do is put some velcro on the mount and on the back of the GPS and done. They say to safety wire it also but I dont see the need to. the velcro is super secure. The only way this thing is coming off is if I get hit... and not planing for that to happen knock on wood. Anyway just wanted to give a review on this prouduct. It retails for 60 bucks but well worth it to me. A few more pics.....

Is the angle of the mount adjustable?

Just bought one of these myself and the iphone case to go with it. Use my iphone as GPS and listen to music occasionally. You can adjust the angle of tilt

only thing i dont like about this mount it the hardware goes all the way through...so you lose the ability to use a front pin stand.

True! But unlike a ball mount, once it's secured, it's not coming off unless you use hand tools.

I don't want it coming off from vibration at the racetrack and sending my $200 camera and a piece of aluminum flying down the straight into someone.

Peace of mind this way.

Im in the process of working one up in SolidWorks right now. The mount is a pretty simple design so shouldn't be too difficult to replicate while adding my own twist. Just need to measure a few parts out on my bike and good to go. My university has a Dimension SST 1200es printer so I can actually print out a working product made of Tough ABSplus™ Thermoplastic and then head down to Lowe's for the nuts and bolts specific to my bike to mount it. Granted it wont be made of their high grade aluminum, but I dont think its necessary for that high of strength material unless I crash. Not sure how well the ABS will hold up to an impact like that. There was a test done somewhere though where they mounted a camera mount to a tank and did target practice on it and the mount held up very well. So maybe it will survive a crash? But i doubt it. O well. Will be fun just making it.

bolt goes out of gps through hole, put a nut on bottom side and tighten it. or two pieces of velcro. not sure i would trust that though

hmm. well im sure the velcro would work for that setup, but like I said, I wouldnt trust it. other than that idk how it would work. best bet would be to contact the company who produces them and ask.
