I'm trying to figure out what the proper spring would be for my weight. I'm 210 w/o gear figure another 10lbs with full leathers, helmet, gloves and boots. What is the proper replacement spring size? Will the following work for my weight? 1091 – 18/168 L262
If anyone knows of a chart somewhere to look up spring recomendations please let me know.
Thanks

Ohlins doesnt have an online spring rate calculator but race Tech's says 9.69 kg/mm.
Maybe I should back up a bit. I'm on my first set of Ohlins so I'm not really sure what the numbers on the spring indicate. If there isn't any type of chart, OK. How should I be reading the numbers?

Z-Man,
Your spring is a 160mm free length, 68n/mm or 6.93kg/mm or 388lbs/in. For a 210 rider on the street I would recommend a 1091-21 which is 75n/mm or 7.64kg/mm or 428lbs/in, and for track or race a 1091-24 which is a 80n/mm or 8.15kg/mm or 457 lbs/in. The spring you have is about the same rate as stock and would be suitable for some one about 120-170 lbs on the street. I'll contact Ohlins and see if I can post the spring chart on our web site. If you would like a new spring rate PM me. I'll be at NHIS all week end and will back on Monday. You can reach me phone, Ill have call forwarding on.
Great thank you so much that is exactly the information I was looking for.
