Same thing happened to me on the test drive (im right under 6ft), but...the seat raises like 5 inches straight up if you want. In the lot they always keep it all the way down for tall ppl.
Kent Brockman 05-09-2011, 11:18 PM Very nice. I like the Camaros.
kjsoccerdude 05-10-2011, 12:50 AM Damn you've got some original colored toys. A green Camaro and an orange bike.
jZampage 05-10-2011, 12:54 AM Not bad. It's not my cup of tea, but I can respect the fact that it is still a nice car, so I'm happy for you. Cheers bud, enjoy the toy!
:cheers

thanks man i get bored easily
oldgixxer 05-10-2011, 03:59 AM is that the V6?
austinjames 05-10-2011, 07:43 AM is that the V6?
Yup v6, couldnt bring myself around to paying 6 grand more, 30 more cents a gallon for more premium gas, and at 15mpg the v8 offers, when the v6 already has 312 hp, runs on regular, gets 25 mpg, and more money in my pocket to mod.
sbombard15 05-10-2011, 08:13 AM What mode have you done? Just debaged it and tinted the turn signals?
I'm newly into photography and wondering how you did the color contrast? Thanks in advance.
austinjames 05-10-2011, 11:08 PM What mode have you done? Just debaged it and tinted the turn signals?
debadged, painted chrome tail light bezels black, blacked out tail lights, front chevy logo delete on the front grille.
And not pictured green and white halos in the headlights, hood pins, black deck lid, and super sport hash mark stripes. But way more to come.

First of all, I want to say thank you for serving our country
And for that effect i just opened the photo in photoshop. Selected only the car with the lasso tool (took about 30min each photo), copied and pasted just that layer. Then, desaturated just the background layer, and there you go.
Heres a walk thru man:

Much thanks!:cheers
sbombard15 05-11-2011, 04:02 PM In pretty sure that technique is called hand painting.

You can also do it in like 30 seconds using the "Color Splash" app on iTunes if you have an apple product. Not for sure if there is similar apps on other markets.
treyZ28 07-15-2011, 02:54 PM That thing needs the V8. I took the V6 out on the track (rented one from Hertz IIRC). That thing is a slug. The V8 was miles ahead. It also gets way better than 15mpg.
Hood pins on the V6? really?
Best of luck to you with it though.

Maybe it's because I don't drive fast cars often but when I got to drive the v6 it felt pretty quick. I mean it still has what? 300hp?
treyZ28 07-15-2011, 03:09 PM at like 4000 lbs :lol
My 300hp 2001 Z28 would destroy it. The Camaro SS (400+ hp) runs the same quarter miles as the 300hp camaros of the previous generations.
It's probably about as fast (slow) as my 6.0 Silverado ext cab silverado on 33's and bolt ons. Interwebs says it runs a mid to low 14 second quarter mile. That's not really good at all. That's a relatively quick pickup.
With that said, the new camaros are light years ahead in terms of the chassis and quality.
sbombard15 07-15-2011, 05:43 PM That means my civic si is a sec slower then that on the 1/4 mile.
I didt realize the v6 was so slow.
treyZ28 07-15-2011, 07:17 PM It's a lot of power, but it's so god damn heavy. It's literally in pickup-truck territory, and the big wheels don't help.
got to agree, for 6k more, you could've had the 8.
i have a hard time understanding people who buy a car to modify it when you could just use the money you know you're going to spend, on a better model or better car
MikeDVB 07-16-2011, 03:49 AM The color isn't my cup of tea, but I'd drive it :)

Same here. Dont buy a car to make it faster, just buy a faster car.
treyZ28 07-18-2011, 07:16 PM Plus you get the V8 rumble :drool
mtobler2006 07-18-2011, 07:22 PM Yup v6, couldnt bring myself around to paying 6 grand more, 30 more cents a gallon for more premium gas, and at 15mpg the v8 offers, when the v6 already has 312 hp, runs on regular, gets 25 mpg, and more money in my pocket to mod.
But its still a v6

mtobler2006 07-18-2011, 07:29 PM And no. I call bullshit. No v6 has the same sound as a v8. Your agrument is invalid.

re-read post, he is not saying the 6 sounds like an 8.
Revzilla 07-18-2011, 08:18 PM Im sorry but if I'm getting a new Camaro it's the SS..
Looks awesome though the way you've made it unique

dev1360 09-06-2011, 11:50 AM hood pins, black deck lid
So you put on hood pins and spray painted the trunk black. And it is a v6?

08 black 1000 09-06-2011, 12:31 PM I like all sport cars but am paticular to the ford. Here is an american muscle car with a supercharged v8.:punk Have fun with the Camaro six cylinder.
Zlow28 10-27-2011, 01:02 AM ^^^ ive always been a fan of sn95 4v cobras. They honestly sound 5x better than any camaro ive heard. This coming from a lt1 gmmg exhaust owner. Bet that blower surprises a bunch of people too huh
To OP, nice car. Id rather see 100 new v6 camaros/mustang/challengers than eclipses/civics/scions :cheers
