I almost pick up a 04R6 today but the dealer back out on the deal in a very unbusiness manner.
This is at Yamaha of Cugamonga in California. I brought two R1s from this dealer and the owner is the one I dealt with. When I called him last week on the phone while I went to check out a slightly used 600rr for $6,000. I decided to stay with Yamaha when he told me that I can have it for $8,104 OTD. I called him up today to see if he could sell it for $8,000 even. He said okay and told me to bring my Yamama Card with me. I told him that I don't have my Yamaha card any
more. He asked me to talk to John to apply on line. I gave my
information to the John and even picked one of the four bikes still in box through VIN#. I also called a friend who wants to buy a R6. My friend also called and he will get it for $8300 OTD. The dealer called me back to raise the price to 8300.
I couldn't believe that shit. He told me that now there is less
availability so he needs to raise the price to 8300. No doubt that $8300 still a good price at southern California. The issue is the unethical and unprofessional business approach. Now a day, many deals are over the phone or internet. The owner Jay said, it was never in ink. What the F#%K! I refer friends to go buy from him and he raised the price on my in less than 15 minutes after the deal was made.
I vow to never do business with that dealer again.
Never buy from Yamaha of Cucamanga!
