hey guys i just bought my gixxer a week ago .. the guy that had it before me was gonna keep it naked but i put all the fairings on it and im still missing the air ducts... how important is it that i put them on? will me riding without them cause any damage?

No, it won't cause any damage. Even if you put some air ducts on you probably wouldn't really notice a difference in performance. I haven't had any on my bike for about 10k miles.

too late to help you, but for others searching for this info.... we had two identical 1000s, one with fairing/ramair one naked street fighter, the one with a fairing and ram air tubes was significantly faster after 100mph....later the street fighter got the fairings and ram air tubes....and they were both exactly the same again.

Just having the bike without fairings makes it significantly harder to do higher speeds. Aerodynamics come into play a lot at higher speeds. Not just the air ducts.
