Hard times due to the economy is forcing me to sell the one thing I vowed never to sell.
I purchased this car in 1998 as the second owner and it had 30K miles on it.
The details: 1996 Corvette Coupe LT4, 71K original miles
Torch red (original paint)
6 speed manual
camel leather interior
Pioneer stereo
'95 ZR1 wheels powder coated matte black (9.5x17 and 11x17)
tires have 90% tread or better
tinted windows
muffler eliminators (have stock mufflers)
G-teched at 328rwhp
Motor is stock with only simple mods (opened air cleaner box, TB bypass, and one other thing I can't remember)
Passing smog without any problem
I got 27 mpg going to Idaho with it
The removable smoked glass top does not leak and stores in the rear when not in use
Car has been always garaged, been hand washed and waxed, and never driven in the rain unless I got stuck out there. This is my baby.
The only things worth pointing out in the negative is the drivers seat center stitching under your arse has come apart (the leather is not torn, just the stitching), there's a bit of coating on the center console passenger side that seemed to have a reaction to the sunlight, and an approximately 4" shallow scratch on the rear quarter panel that was there when I bought the car. I can take pictures of these things IF it may make a difference.
I'm asking $15000 or B/O
I'm keeping the vanity plate. Test drives for only those that have the cash on hand for collateral. No tire kickers please.
