New to the forum and just passing through. Finally purchased a 2003 GSX-R 1000! Not so much the one I wanted but, I was on a budget and it was SUCH a great deal! My favorite model is the K5 but, I am very satisfied with the K3. I am also a fan of the TL models and may purchase one in the not so distant future. Fixing it up with a few cosmetic stuff as I go along but mainly focused on upgrading the performance. Can't ride as much as I'd like being that I left her in Florida while I'm doing oil and gas work here in Pa. It stinks but I travel back home at least once a month and I get my fix then :biggrin Safe ridin' out there though and I'll be sure to be in touch!

Nice choice.

The '03-'04 model is a great choice. Unless you're pushing the bike really hard, the differences between model years isn't going to make a huge difference. At the track, I'm no faster on my '08 ZX10 than I am on my '03 gixxer.
