Hello
I have a 2009 GSXR 750 that has blew a reg/rectifier 2 days after fitting a power commander, I performed all the tests from the manual (all good) and then I fitted an electrosport aftermarket reg/rec and this died after 2 days as well.
So before I fit another RR I thought I would list all my test results here and see if anyone has any additional tests or ideas?
Aftermarket electric items = Power commander
Battery current leak = 2ma
Regulated voltage = N/A:- reg/rec blown
Generator coil resistance = 0.4 amps across all 3
Generator no-load performance = 85v@5000rpm, manuals specifies 65v+ is 85v to high?
I have also cleaned and checked the connectors in the charging system and they are all fine.
If anyone has anymore tests or ideas please post them.
