Sup fellas do any of you guys have the same issue with the rear brake giving out a high pitched sqweek when braking on the "04 600's??

probably still need to be broken in. do they squeek when you just walk the bike around or when your at speed using the brake? if they make noise when your just walking the bike around I think that's normal for most bikes.

Mine will until the brakes get warm...usually stops after I stop 2 or 3 times but it's not very loud and I think mines coming from the front...not sure though.

I have 4000 mls on my 600 k4 and them brakes still squeek when cold. after a while(warm up) it goes away, but damn it is annoying. come to think about it i think it does come from the rear brakes. I thought I was the only one.

When I was working at a Suzuki dealership, this problem was common. When new the bikes are shipped with a grease like stuff on the brake rotors [cosmoline?]. If this stuff doesn't get cleaned before riding [and it seldom did], the brakes would squeak. Often we had to replace pads to stop the problem.

Mine do it too, I clean them with Brake Cleaner which stops the noise for a while.

yep.....its just there. nothing much you can really do about it. I have 12,500 miles on my k4 750 and it still does it.

You use it to slide the rear when entering a corner.
