: frame sliders for 04 750?
ok, i got some frame sliders from lightning performance products for 2004 gsxr 750. Well it didnt come with instructions and this is my first install of frame sliders so can someone help me out. I have two different size sliders. One looks like a lolipop and the other looks like a cylinder. Im assuming the lolipop one goes on the left side of the bike. Am I correct? THanks in advance from a newbie modder.

Htown1000 04-20-2004, 01:39 AM I've been looking for some sliders for my 04 as well. the only thing that i have found was some company that cut one of the sliers to fit. I want some that are made for my bike, if anyone can give me a contact i'd appreciate it!!!
gixxer750tim 04-20-2004, 01:43 AM Usually frame sliders attatch to the engine mounting bolts. Take out the engine mounting bolts (one at a time) and replace with the frame sliders. One side will be different to the other, it should be obvious. Hope this helps.
I have fitted ART frame sliders / crash mushrooms to my 750K4, they were meant for the K3 1000 but fit no problem after putting a washer on the left hand one to space it a little.
whats the trq specs on those engine bolts
here goes a pic of my frame sliders. I've matched these sliders to the bike and the mushroom slider will go on the left side and the cylinder will go on the right side. I just need trq specs on the engine bolts. And also, when removing the engine bolts, will the engine drop when removing one bolt at a time or do i need some type of jack to hold engine up. THanks.
These are mine:

04gixxer 04-21-2004, 11:29 AM im getting the same Lightning performance sliders for my 04 600 ........ i dont have a torque wrench though .... does it need to be torqued to the specific ft/lbs ? or can i just tighten them with a regular wrench? (just wondering)
i bet you can, but i just want to trq it to the right specs just in case.
Htown1000 04-25-2004, 11:23 PM last week i checked suzuki's website and found that they make them for the k4 750 in black and white. I called my local dealer and in a few days they had them in for 71.99. they come with instructions and if I remember correctly the longer one goes on the left side. I did not use a torque wrench I just tighted it about as tight as the bolts that i took off. You'll need a hex wrench to take of the stock bolts though 8 or 10mm, check that.
Slowestrider 04-26-2004, 05:03 AM I am new to this forum. Is there something I need to activate to see the picture? Thanks.
