Just curious as to which is better and why:
2 seperate lines from the master cylinder?
OR
1 line form the master cylinder that "T's" over the front fender?
Does it even matter as far as braking power or is it simply for fit-up? I've noticed that some companies sell both styles for the same model bike (which leads me to believe it isn't only about fit-up) and was just wondering if there is any benefit to one over the other.

It's hydraulic, so from what I understand, either configuration will provide equal performance.
I believe it's just a personal preference, as to whether or not you want to keep the OEM type configuration.

It doesn't matter
Alot of race teams use the T-fitting because there's a brake pressure sensor attached there for data-logging purposes.

The people I know that have them say that the braided lines are much better with one into two and the two into two are that much better. I bought the braided one into two but haven't put them on yet.

^Yeah winter project along with tires, in depth chain cleaning and anything else I can think of to pass the dreaded winter.

Kentucky... you shouldn't have much of a winter either. I ride mine up until January and usually get a day in every now and then in January. Then by february we are usually seeing freak days of 60 or 70 degrees again. As long as its over 40-45 Im good to go.

Ok, so you're saying that 2 seperate lines are the best config?

Considering the fact that the same amount of hydraulic pressure is coming from the master cylinder, it shouldn't make a difference in the slightest.
The reason I bought the 2 line setup is cuz I was due for new lines, I thought the 2 line setup looked better, I wouldn't have to re-route a line over the fender, and it seems to me that the lines will now be much easier to bleed considering they both just go straight down. That air bubble can sometimes be a pain in the neck to get out of the second line.

Sometimes that second line on the master is a pain in the ass due to close body work any what not. If i had a choice again i'd route them the other way but I cant imagine it would make any other difference in the real world, the pressures are equal in all parts of the system and you cant build pressure in one caliper before another unless there is some underlying issue in the system.

Last year we had a terrible winter and no one rode from about the 1st of Nov on. This year so far looks more promising. My buddy just went from the one to two braided system and he says the two line is better. He says both are better than stock though. He is a avid track rider and a strong street rider and not much of one to blow smoke.
