Heh,,, I know a guy who has rode nothing but Harley's his whole life, and now has a Honda CBR 600. First thing he said was " I don't like this DirtBike Look, I'm going to get it lowered". Well, He got the back lowered 3 inches and the front 1 inch. Now everytime he goes in and out of his driveway it scraps the bottom of the ferring. Plus, they had to cut the kickstand 4 times to get it to lean enough where it wouldnt fall over. After the 3rd cut, you could push it with your pinky finger and it would fall over. One day he got a staple in his front tire, and while the bike was sitting in the garage, the air leaked out of the tire just enough to make the bike fall over on its side. Lucky for him he had sliders on it.

Sounds like trouble to me. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif

Kinda unrelated, but did you set the sag for your weight? I'm light and short, so bikes tend to sit especially high for me. However if I set the sag correctly for my weight, I find that the slow speed stuff is a little more handleable. Sag is usually set to 30-35 mm(a little more than an inch) for street riding, which is like free lowering. I use this page http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Garage/1278/Suspension.html for help with suspension stuff(it has how to set sag on it). Also somewhere on sportrider.com also has how to set sag.

GSXRCRAZY,

don't do it. suzuki spends millions on research and developement and the geometry of this bike is bang on.

don't change the geometry with a a few hundred dollar links.
the it's too high is all in you're head. trust me. i have to get a running start to jump on top of my bike http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif it's only high at the stoplight right?
just scooch you're but to the side and plant one firm foot down and have the other on the brake or vice versa.
for example take a look at the 250cc and up motocrossers. there is no way many of them can flat foot or even tippie toe their bikes. give it some time and i'm sure you'll be alright. otherwise try the suspension adjustments and have you're seat shaved.

you can always get the seat shaved down if you do not want to change the geometry of the bike, yes suzuki does spend a good amount of time of r&d but remember not every bike is the same and proper setup for every type of rider my race bike is completely setup differently from oem spec. what i would suggest is getting your seat shaved then if thats not enough, you can get either fully adjustable links, or a shock with adjustable ride height. only make small changes at a time, if you have a local race shop or gmd computrak center they can help you out....

try getting the seat shaved then if that works sell the links on ebay i am sure they are not 100% fully adj they are probably the 3 hole type.
