how do you tell the difference?
I pulled the trans dip stick after my commute home (long enough of a drive) and I swear the damn thing was dry :lol I wiped it off and put it back in for a few seconds...pulled it out...dry. I wiped it off expecting to see red fluid on the blue shop cloth...nothing. Just black smudge marks.
What i've been experience lately is, especially in the cold mornings, I'll let the truck warm up as normal - then put it into OD or R depending how I was parked in the spot and it'll just roll as if it's in N. Then I'll give it some gas and it'll shift into gear.
This is any automatic trans with 4x4. 1990 Bronco II A4LD
No other issues while driving, stop and go traffic, etc etc. It shifts while driving as it should - except for shifting into Overdrive. Until I figure out the check engine light and code 54, it won't shift into OD.
I just don't want to drop $160 on a flush/fill if it won't help.:suicide
