I paint for a living and this is what I did. We have an adhesion promotor for plastics, I lightly scuffed the inside of the windshield with a gray scuff pad (you can get at any automotive paint store) Dont use anything but gray. Then I put one thin coat of the adhesion promotor (can also get at the automotive paint store) Then painted the inside Black, and Clearcoat since I wanted the inside to shine, if you don't want the inside to shine, just spray it flat black. The outside will shine regardless of what you put on the inside. Don't paint the outside. If you can't get adhesion promotor, scuffing it with the gray pad should be good enough. If you get paint on the outside from overspray, use a light polishing compound and it should come off, dont use anthing you can feel grit in or you will scratch it. If you live in Florida, we can meet and Ill give you my black one, since I want a clear one now for my camera...lol.

Oh, one more thing, I've seen new paint that is supposed to stick to plastic without sanding. You could get that, then just make sure the plastic is REALLY clean. Then you can probabaly just spray the inside and be done.

If you use a regular spray paint, it may stick good, or not. It will probably stick for a long time since the wind wont actually be blowing right on the painted surface, But I would look for that paint for plastic, I think I seen it at Wal Mart.
