: What's your carb intake?
GixieChick 04-13-2004, 01:13 PM I"m not counting all my carbs, but since i'm eating fruit, i'm getting alot of carbs throughout the day. Now it's not carbs like pizza, and chips and junk, it's good carbs, the simple sugars, that burn fast. i.e grapes, apples, etc. I've lost about 17 lbs so far doing this, so don't say I shouldn't be eating fruit... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/nono.gif I"m just curious how many carbs you guys/gals take in in a day, I know you don't count, but give me some of the foods you eat... as far as carb intake goes, personally i havent been counting to point i limit myself..im doing anything and everything to try and put on some good weight. i make sure i get my required complex carbs daily, and a little extra here and there. im not too concerned with putting on a bit of fat as i more or less already know what i need to do to get it to come off.. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
My Carbs come in the form Of Complex carbs. things like Oats, Brown Rice, Sweet Potatoes, and Whole Grain Breads. Also try and get in some Fiborous Carbs, from Veggies as well.
Typical Day, I have about 1 cup of Oats, and 2 cups of Brown Rice.

as for carbs... i'm a cereal junky. there's a brand called "Kashi" that makes all kinds of healthy fibrous low cal cereal's. they are not for everyone, but once you get used to the natural tastes, you'll learn to LOVE THEM. I eat a bowl of the "go lean crunch"(mostly oat clusters) before i workout and i have an endless supply of energy.

i eat all my carbs before 4:00pm to make sure i burn them before i go to bed. carb heavy breakfast, lunch, and pre workout snack... then for dinner protein and vegies or salad. when i follow this routine i wake up lean as a mo-fo in the morning regardless of how many carbs i ate the day before.

when you try that kashi stuff... make sure you give the "Autumn Wheat" and "go lean crunch" a try. They are easily the best two in my opinion. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
