it did sit up for a few months it has a manul thensioner slip on pipe and thats about it i dont think its it jumped time because it would show more signs of it im not getting 12 volts to the solenoids vavle though i think this is the problem but i could be wrong

Well, Does the motor rev up in the RPM range and the bike doesnt go, or does the bike not rev up at all? Lack of power?
What about in neutral, does the bike rev up?

If it sat for a bit, you could have clogged jets. That would be my first look if the bike does not rev up.

If the bike does rev, but does not go anywhere, I would start to look into the clutch setup.

MORE detail always helps.

Are you revving the bike to 12,500 then changing gear?
These bikes are not known for their midrange & only make proper power from 8k to just under redline.
Cheers, Ad

These bikes are known to run like this when the timing jumps ONE tooth. Trust me I know.. lol

Also could be the carbs clogged up, but more likely I would say it is the timing.

im not saying u are wrong but the cdi is form a 1997 and the part number are not the same so i ordered the right one off of ebay if it is the timming jumped how hard is it to retime in the frame

Not hard at all... It is easy to check with a mirror. Check the sticky at the top of the forum to see how to get into the cams.

Check the timing, every time mine was off, it ran just like this.

I am not saying that the CDI is not the problem, but the timing is free to check.

Was it running this way when you got it? What about when the last guy picked it up? Did it run like this? Who installed the MCCT?

ok sorry for not giving full story about the bike so here goes a good friend of mine had the bike sitting in his yard when he first got it it ran great and then small stuff starting going wrong nothing big so he would bring it to people that said that they knew how to fix it and after 9 or 10 people been in to it he gave it to me with title too it did not run the starter was burnt so i go a new starter and when i put it on it took about 10 min to start it the number two carb was loading up so bad that it was shooting fire so i took them down they was all clean but the #2 main was in the bowl s put them back on still hard to start so checked the ploit screws and man o man all messed up so i set them all at 2 and a half out and she fired right up and ran great so i test rode her and thats when i found this problem so i started testing everything and the solenoids are not comming on and thats when i found out the cdi is off 1997 and 1997 s didnt the solenoides. and the mcct i do not know who put it on but i will be taking a look at the timming here soon

FWIW, The solenoids are NOT needed for the bike to run. Dont worry too much about them.
