No shit: Today I met up with a guy from Kentucky in Arkansas and traded him my lifted pickup truck for his Camaro.
This was perhaps the most redneck moment of my life.
My truck had a bunch of shit done to it making it not worth selling, however it didn't fit the parking garage at my new job while getting 15mpg on the 35 mile drive there. I originally wanted to grab a trans am or a z28 for the drive- something I like but can pull high 20 mpg.
It was a motherfucker finding a stock one with a clean title under 100k miles for anything resembling a reasonable price. I called one dude up in Kentucky and it turns out he was selling it to buy a truck for a business he was starting. He liked all the mods (bigger V8, beefed up trans, locker, bigger tires, cranked torsion bars, etc).
I figured it was going to save me a grand on sales tax alone by trading rather than buying one, so I traded the guy straight up. Since I no longer have a truck (and putting a tow hitch on a Camaro is entirely too redneck for me), I'm getting a space at the track and storing the bike at the track. Saves me from getting registration and inspection on the bike and I can drop insurance.
I can feel the hair on the back of my head growing faster already :lmao
