I'm looking to buy a 600 pretty soon here and I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the dealer cost is for a 600 and what a good (not exceptional) deal would be in the California area. I talked to a couple different dealers who really didn't move from 9000, and I thought that was a little high. I thought the invoice was around 6800 and expected an OTD price of around 8100. Is that reasonable? Thanks!

6383 or 6838 cost for dealer from the info i got depending on demand in your area 8100 is pretty straight some ppl gettin few hunit cheaper some a lot more- 9000 OTD is crazy- laugh at them when they say that or sit in the dealership and laugh at someone who pays that

I had this info in a sticky post but it got lost in the DB crash.

2004 600 dealer cost (including freight) = $6838
dealer assembly cost = $50-65 depending on dealer.

This is confirmed, and is the same price every dealer in the US pays regardless of area or volume.

I don't know how in the world you got that price unless your sales tax is next to nothing.

I may be going to OK to buy mine, although I may get a good deal here cause I'm friends with the lead sales guy and the manager, and all sales-people

Big metroplex area it's unlikely. Try heading a little north, I think I heard of a place one time just south of Waco that buys ATV's and trades them for sportbikes, supposed to be really low priced. Ask some small shops in the area is you know any of the people that work there. Just don't ask a dealership cause they'll just try to sell you their bikes.

I live in Orlando and paid $8350 for mine OTD including free shipping to my house. They originally quoted me $8800 OTD, but then I came to this forum, saw how much everyone here was paying, went back to the dealership and told them I visited this website and saw how much others werre paying and they very VERY quickly dropped the price to what I told them I was going to pay OTD! A little research goes a looooong way.

This is what you should do to piss them off.

http://www.arspowersports.com/

Go here and ask for a quote for a 04 GSXR-600 and they will email you back a quote for $7800 OTD. Then Print it, and take it to the dealer with you and show them, and ask them If they could match it. My dealer offered me $7900 OTD so I took it, since ARS powersports is like 3 hours away from me, I was willing to give the extra 100 instead of driving that far. I paid $8,500 with the warranty.
