hi guys, just bought a k8 750 with an aftermarket jardine gp1 already bolted on. the jardine was the cat cut conversion, so the catalytic converter is removed and the k6 k7 jardine gp1 is installed. question is, has anyone had a chance to test this pipe for sound decibel ratings with or without the silencer on? i really don't want to get a ticket from the cops. anyone out there get any tickets for noise infractions yet? btw, i live in edmonton, ab. they just passed that law a month and some ago. test involves idle test and 5000 rpm test, 45 degrees from behind the pipe. must be lower than 92 and 100 dB respectively.

Im in AZ n never got a noise violation for my full system with a shortened can. However i have got a noise violation for my honda eg hatchy registering on an officail term lab at 143 db. HAHA the cop was like WTF!

wow, over 140 db is killer... it's pretty stupid here... if they find you running anything over 92 and 100 db respectively (for 4 cyl bikes) they automatically fine you 250 bucks for the 1st infraction... they said that repeat offenders can be fined $10,000.00. no typo there... ten thousand cad. freaking crazy eh?
