Now that I have solved the FI issue on my K7 GSXR 750 (thanks to the many helpful responses!), I plan on swapping the stock exhaust for either the R-55 (http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/ps-3661-1101-r-55-stainlessstainless-slip-on-carbon-end-cap-750.aspx)or the M4 Shorty (http://www.motomummy.com/store/product.php?productid=18072&cat=362&page=1) slip-on. I will be running either of these exhausts along with a BMC (non-race) air filter and Bazzaz Z-Fi for fuel management.

I am not looking for which exhaust is the better value, but rather a money being a non-issue opinion of which exhaust would be preferred by you and why?! Feel free to vote in the poll if you would like, but I am more concerned as to the "why" the choice was made and please no reasons pertaining to the price or that either is the "best bang for the buck." I don't care if your reason is strictly based on appearance, sound, ease of install, performance, etc. (and no I'm not looking to go with a full system at this time).

For those looking to post about how it's my bike and that I need to make my own decision as to which exhaust is best for me rather than having someone else make it for me... You are 100 % correct and I am not looking for someone to choose for me. I have read up on both and at this point I would just like outside opinions and hopefully the logic behind these decisions will help push me in one direction or the other. Both appear to bring quite a bit to the table for what they are and I'm looking for those one or two good reasons to run with one over the other.

Thanks in advance!

I like the cf shorty look. Both are great quality exhausts though. It's mostly going to come down to looks and price which are both just opinions. Nobody's opinion really matters on this though other then yours as it's your bike :)

Like previously stated, it's all about what you like and how much it cost. I picked the M4 shorty and I love the way it sounds. Granted the R-55 looks awesome but the M4 (In my opinion) sounds better. I ride it hard and love the way it sounds. When I'm WOT or down shifting the bike sounds like an SBK Superbike.

So just my 2 cents on the matter, the M4 sounds awesome. Mine is a 2008 but sounds very similar to this video:
