Any blue gixxers out there with a blue driven sprocket on it. I'm in the process of ordering a kit from motomummy but I need a visual on the shade of blue and how it looks on a gsxr.

There are pics on the site of the sprocket alone but it's tough to tell how off the color is to the factory blues of a gsxr.

I can have one later when I get home. If it helps any, it's close to the lighter blue color on the K6 1000, which I have.

Thanks Legend, so it's definetly more of a royal blue than a navy blue. How do you like the setup so far?

When I replaced the sprockets I went down 1 in the front. It gives the bike more low end grunt and feels great. The sprockets have been on for just about 3,000 miles and I clean/lube almost every other ride. It might be overkill, but I average a couple hundred miles a ride depending on the people I'm with.

Like you said, the pic on the website does make the sprocket look darker than it really is. I originally was going to use a black one, but it was not in stock and Corey had the blue one to me the next day and I'm actually a little more happier that I got the blue one. It matches well with the bike.

You can't go 100% by what people post as every anodizing batch has a different shade. In fact we have some light blue ones in stock and some dark blue. It changes with every batch of anodizing. If you're pretty picky about that type of thing then it's best to go with a black sprocket. If you have any other questions just let us know.

I like my purdy blue one. Orosado79, if you have any concerns talk with Corey (Motomummy), he will take care of you.

Thanks for the info guys.

I just ordered the kit, added in the notes to give me the darkest shade they got since my bike is mainly navy blue and white. I don't mind it being a shade off, but the closer the better.

Can't wait to get it and put it on my baby!

Legend, I just took that picture yesterday and I haven't cleaned it in a few weeks! :lol It gets cleaner, but I have been slacking off lately.

Moto, thank you sir! I am fast becoming a fan of your site, already mentioned your great price on chain kits and free shipping to a couple of friends.

Orosado, I'm in the same boat... Can you post a picture of your results with the blue sprocket? Thanks.

Sorry TrialnError I've been out of the mix for a little bit. I'll try to get some pics up tonight.

Motomummy did not dissapoint and indeed sent me a nice dark blue sprocket that wasn't too far from my color! :punk If you're thinking about doing it, I'd say go for it and request the darkest color they got. :cheers

Glad you got it and like the color. If you let us know light or dark we can TRY and get you the closest we have. We normally have many sprockets in every tooth count and in every color. No promises of course, but we'll do our best to get a lighter or darker shade if you let us know.

Got some pics! :punk

As you can see the sprocket is a lighter blue than my chain guard, which is a close color match to my fairings but overall it's close enough not to stand out.
