Think I have ruined my front rotors. I put a set of after market race pads on the front of my bike, they were really good at first and eventually I started to feel a pulse in the front brakes. It kept getting worse, to the point it was almost shaking as the brakes were applied. I put the stock OEM pads back on and it was no better. One of the rotors is now loose in the buttons, the other is fine. I am pretty sure the race pads warped one of my rotors. I can get a set of rotors off a 02 1000, do they fit a 01 750? And does this sound like a likely scenario for a warped rotor?

yes it sounds like a warped rotor, but it could also be that you didn't clean the rotors properly before you installed the new pads.

i would suggest taking the rotors off the wheel (marking which one is the right and left of course), and giving them a good cleaning with a scotchbrite pad and some brake cleaner. once they are dry, re-install them without touching the actual discs, and see how it is.

and no, the k2 1k pads will not work on your 750, they are a different size.
