: How Do I Adjust Brake Cable?

Got some new Battlax 16s put on at the shop yesterday, and afterwards my front brake lever is "grabbing" WAY too soon (barely pulling the lever in will engage the brakes). How can I adjust this so it doesn't engage the brakes until I pull the lever further down towards the handle grip? I'm not trying to adjust the lever to be /closer/ to the handle, but I want to adjust the grab spot.

It's kinda bad because it's way to sensitive this way and plus my brake lights don't come on unless I'm braking hard due to the fact that the lever is not being pulled enough to activate the brake light.

Thanks for any input!

first!

its not a brake cable. you can adjust the wheel where the lever pivots to a higher number. pull the lever AWAY from the grip and spin the dial.

Sorry, I didn't know :). I thought the adjustment wheel was to set te distance between the lever and the handle, not the grab. I will give it a try today, I think it's currently set at "2".

Thanks !!
