I did the 1000 intake in a 750 mod.
Well it's done and I have been to the dyno...I put the 1000 intake in the 750 and moved the 750 intake to the exhaust side. I also got a stock head gasket and took the center leaf out. I also did the pair mod for him to.
The bike only had a bolt on exhaust. We put a 1000 header with a yosh slip-on on it too.(the 1000 header is the same tube diameter as the 750, but the 750 has cross over pipes and the 1000 doesn't)
The bike dynoed 120HP a week before I started on it. It's been about a week sense I have had it done(had to let the weather clear here) We took it down today. It pulled 135.86 HP with no PC3 or any air/fuel tuning as he doesn't have a pc3 yet. Air to fuel was a little messed up but the top end came down to 13.6..There was a gain everywhere. Is bike is fast and feels very much like a 1000.
I degreed the cams at 108 intake and 109 exhaust. I still think the is to much overlap and I may change the cam numbers a little. It peeked right at red line. I think I might back the intake to 106 and move the exhaust to 110 or 111. Need less to say I'm very impressed, 136hp on a 750 with just a slip-on exhaust.
