What gets you going at the gym? What music pushes you past that wall and into a killer workout?

For me, I like anything with a FAST tempo. Club music works ok, some techno can get me going, but what really gets my blood pumpin is some good heavy metal. A little White Zomby can get me through the toughest sessions. "more human then human" http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/punk.gif

Another track I LOVE to workout to is EMINEM "Soldier'. The lyrics are really inspirational for me. Below I'll copy the chorus...

I'm a soldier
These shoulders hold up so much
They wont budge, I'll never fall or fold up
I'm a soldier
Even if my collar bones crush or crumble
I will never slip or stumble
I'm a soldier
These shoulders hold up so much
They wont budge, I'll never fall or fold up
I'm a soldier
Even if my collar bones crush or crumble
I will never stumble

Here, I also uploaded the song to my server so you guys can give it a listen. I'm sure like me, most of you use mp3 players in the gym. If so, add it to your playlist and tell me what ya think! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Here's the song... Play --> (http://www.cyclesex.com/music/Eminem%20-%20Soldier.mp3)

It's always Linkin Park (the 2nd oldest CD)... with "Break"... that gets me moving all the time. Even if i'm just angry in the car or at home, I put that on, and it's like they "relieve" my stress for me. But it's great to run to/use the eliptical to. Put my headphones on and away I go.

I never train with earphones on so I don't have a training song. Put when I was playing Junior Hockey i used to like to hear ACDC's thunderstruck in the warm up.. it used to make me hype for the game! I'd be doing warm up drills yelling Woooooooo' like Rick Flare through most of the song.http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Lil' jon
Pastor Troy
etc.
any down south "Get Crunk" rap.

I cant listen to headphones while I lift, however, It distracts me. Just between sets.

There are some cool rock songs that I here on tv, other peoples radios, etc. But I don't really listen to rock so I don't know the names of the songs or artists

Metallica, System of a Down, Korn, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, hard techno, gangsta rap...

Essentially anything that's not too soft or mushy - 80's pop makes me want to puke http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif

I think y'all forgot two of the best....

LL Cool J - Mamma Said Knock You Out (This is a given)
Sir Mix-A-Lot - Testarossa (Listen to the words and beat and try not to get amped)

When that song comes on, I get all pumped up. Here are a couple others, some new, some old that help get me going:

Danzig - Mother
Danzig - Twist of Cain
Usher - Yeah
Notorious BIG, P Diddy, Busta - Victory
P Diddy, 50 Cent - Victory 2004 (Just a great beat to get pumped up to)
Butthole Surfers - Shame of Life
Linkin Park - (Instert song title here)
Disturbed - (agian, just about any song)
Master P - Oooohwee
Smashing Pumkins - Bullet with Butterfly Wings (everything else was crap)
Tupac & Notorious - Runnin (slower methodical beat but good lyrics)

That's all I got for now. Time to go listen to them and make some big weights my bitch!

i think fiddy ryders got the best choices so far...and come on guys..dont you know linkin park is a boy band i mean ya they got catchy tunes...but when it comes down to it they are a boy band put together by some old man in a room

as far as stayin on topic goes hatebreed, pantera, some rammstein heavy metal gets me amped
