Hi there folks, hopefully someone could help me with a question about my new engine.

I have a 1998 600 bandit with a 1989 GSXR750 engine in it. I only recently put the engine in and it is running a little lumpy. I primarily intend on getting new jets in the carbs and taking it to a rolling road to get it setup and tuned.

My question is, will the 600 bandit CDI unit cause any adverse effects on the performance of the gsxr750 engine?

Also any other hints and tips would be well appreciated.

From a quick search I gather the a CDI is a ECU? Not familiar with CDI but if it is like a ECU then no, I do not believe they are compatible and you will need the ECU for a GSX-R 750, just like a 600 ECU is not compatible with a 750 engine. If a CDI is something else then :dunno
