Yup yup, a buddy of mine called me and said that he picked up the new 04 600 last Thursday night, and he let me take it for a quick spin. Even though the bike had about 70 miles on it, I didn't want to hammer it too hard. But this thing is light, easily flickable between the corners, and the brakes, man thos radial brakes on this lil thing is unbelievable. The power isn't bad either, 2nd gear about 6K, I just gave it a nice lil blip and that lil bike pulled pretty damn hard, lofted the front end, grabbed 3rd, and it still pulled hard. I shut it down before 12K, didn't want to hurt a bike that wasn't mine. At any rate, the new 600 is definitely gonna be an awesome bike, whether you ride street, or race it. Oh, and hopefully he will let me put it in a few races this year, it will be his Sprint bike for the 04 season http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Oh another thing, he got the Black/Orange color scheme, I thought that color was a Canadian/European color scheme....can anyone help me on that question?

The US will get the blue and white, the yellow and the black & orange. The black & orange I saw at the MC show really didn't look good at all.

I have no idea what "them" people up north are getting.

you actually probably helped him more than you think if you did rev it to 12k. although the first 20 miles of an engine break in are the most critical, it's best to give it full power all the way up to 14k and then let it down. I'm not saying race it, but beat on it a little bit at a time. the compression on the engine will be better than a bike broken in by reading the manual and it'll last longer. I have a website explaining all this if you want it.

Are you talking about the motoman way of break-in or your own way?
