just started not long ago. going down the road,if i get in to it ,around 9k rom it dies, and it says "check" in the gauge. its like its run out of gas for a few seconds then picks back up,gas tank was just filled up this morning so i know its not low.it doesnt do it all the time.but more today than ever ,as i was passing about 3 cars it dies on me:banghead and seemes longer to pick back up. wondering what the cause could be ,im thinking maybe fuel pump or in the fuel system but like some more info:cheers

It's probably the kickstand switch. Usually it acts up at a lower rpm but very likely the problem.which will make the Check light come on for a few seconds.

Also, When the fuel pump is taking a shit it usually starts by not revving past high rpms at all, kinda like a rev limiter from my experience. Plus it doesn't throw the check light either.

But would the kickstand switch make it die and pick back up after a few seconds? Any way to bypass the switch to see if it still happens? If the check engine isn't on, is there a way to pull a code or anything to see what's going on? When it dies, it comes on then goes off.

Kickstand switch problem..... shuts off exactly as you described and doesn't throw any codes. It's the easiest to check first, just bypass it ... Most likely your problem.

Fuel filter on the fuel pump can also cause this problem, pretty pricey but it fixed mine right away. This is a DIY job, very easy! Just make sure you install the pumps bolts in the right order, and torque
