hey i am new to this forum and new to street bikes.
i am looking for a gsxr600 to buy sometime this summer. and was woundering what are good years to look out for when buying one and years to not to buy.
what are some major issues on these bikes in certian years?

o yeah im looking in to 2002 and up range. but then again i dont know anything about them right now and that could change.

and if you live in north and are planning on selling a bike sometime this year let me know.

'01 and '02 models are the same, so I wouldn't exclude the '01.

Nothing in particular about any of the years that are particularly problematic. They all have one minor issue or another (charging systems, etc.), but nothing major as these bikes are the result of continual evolution over decades. Find a bike in good condition, and you shouldn't have any major issues unless the bike was abused.

ok thanks glad to hear suzuki is good with the street bikes. and they dont have any major problems.
and are there any other years that are close to the same thing with out many updates? so i dont get ripped off it is a year newer and someone marks it up higher in price
again any one located in northern jersey or close to warren county selling a grxr600 for around 4500-5000.?
