hey guys my starter button isnt working...

so far i have checked

-charging system has been replaced rectifier and stator are good
-battery is good
-kill button is good
-kick stand switch is good (checked while the bike was running it shut the bike down does that matter?)
-bike turns over and runs if you bypass the switch by putting the screw driver on the terminals

also we pulled the relay out and ran the battery to the top terminals and got a clicking sound from the relay...now does this mean the relay is good? or could it still be the clutch switch? (the only thing that i havent checked) didnt have time tonight- thanks again guys

Have you checked the clutch switch? Or the starter button itself? Just need an ohm / continuity tester / meter.

Has the bike ever been down? Check the end harness here that assembly plugs in. Its very possible for it to get pinched in there. Does it start if you hot wire it. Put a piece of wire between the two terminals on the starter relay? MIne does the same thing sometimes. for me it is in the harness I need to replace it but money is tight so it waits

easy way to check that clutch switch is to jump the switch . Unplugg it and stick a wire in the plug connecting the circut. if it still doesn't start thats not your problem

I had the EXACT same issue and it was the clutch switch. Hours of scratching my head and getting pissed to only find out it was a simple wire splicer. Good luck
