: First thing's first. A mod's list
CYIWON 06-26-2010, 04:20 PM Alright, so i don't even have my bike yet but I'm excited and want to get feedback on some things.
So, here are the obvious things I need to do once I get the bike.
-Change oil
-Flush coolant (don't know if its any different on a bike than a car, but I have access to a collant flushing machine at work, but I doubt it will work)
-Check plugs
-Replace aftermarket dogbones with stockers and set sag.
**Missing anything?**
__________
Now, what want to get done mods. I'm lucky enough to work in a garage and have one of the techs that I work with run a body shop from his home. (Legit, booth and everything.) So first order of business is to paint the bike.
-Two tone candy orange & black with stock decals in reflective black. (I love custom bikes, but I love them more when you can incorporate the stock decals.)
-I need to find myself an undertail of this variety, hopefully used in good shape at a good price:
http://www.1tail.com/productImages_thumbBIG/41750
I want one with turn signals with it, this particular one apparently has them (5 led bar) but I can't see where. I think they may be loose, not sure?
-To clean up the front of the bike I pretty much only need a set of hotbodies R6 turn signals, I'm still trying to find a canadian distributor for them.
As for other mods on my list I would really like to get the Steable(SP) nautilus horn and some HID's from DDM.
I'm also planning on finding a used extra set of rear pass. pegs to have powdercoated and modded with led light bars as turn signals as well, ala:
www.dikkydo.com/pegs/pegs.htm
What does everyone think? Not gonna hurt my feelings if you have an honest opinion, giv'r.
The Ripper 06-26-2010, 05:13 PM HotBodies is distributed through Parts Canada

Where are you located? Let me know if I can help you.
KryptonBulbs 06-26-2010, 05:21 PM HID's! :)
CYIWON 06-26-2010, 06:59 PM Well, I finally found my Royal Distributing catalog and sure enough they carry HotBodies signals. 39.99 a pair so that's one thing i've found. They also stock the Yosh RS-3 for $269.99, but I'd love to find something similar in quality either new or used for a better price.
TWalsh88 06-26-2010, 10:45 PM I happen to have that tail and I personally hate it. Can't see my turn signals at all and realy don't likt how it made the ass look... I bought my bike with it so I can't change it back quite yet. I'll take some pics if you like?

GSXR Maori 06-27-2010, 05:58 AM The Rumble undertail you have pictured should be easy to get to you as it's from your country. I've had 3 different types of undertail, this one by far is the best I've had. I like the look of them, sharpens up the rear end. The LED turn signals are there integrated with the tail lights but I didn't use them. The cops down this way don't like this mod on bikes and love handing out fines for having it.

I was considering doing the SS brake lines since they seem to be a great bang for your buck mod.
What intake tubes? There are replacement ones that provide more performance?

As for the Rumble Imports undertail. Its frustrating because there are "no products" under their undertail section. I'll have to email them and find out if they still make them.
Lean With It 06-28-2010, 09:08 AM here is the undertail I got

the ebay seller was extremely helpful. The brake lights are LED and the blinkers are LED strips. The undertail is put together very well and I would buy it again.

Thanks for the info. Aside from the hiccup you had with not having the stock connectors, it was good fit?
This interests me because I can get it unpainted for 125.00

Yea I didn't have the stock connectors because there was already an aftermarket undertail on the bike....but the new one fit like a glove. The un-painted one you saw in my thread was the one that I took off and sold for $40. $125 for an unpainted one???? I ripped myself off :lol nah j/k
The black one I bought was $130 or $140, came with everything. That ebay seller can paint them whatever color you want. Real good work too...I don't have a rear tire hugger, so I just wipe the undertail with windex and it shines like new.
CYIWON 06-28-2010, 09:50 AM Yeah the black painted one is 165.00 now, from the Idealcycle site.
I'm painting the bike so I may as well just wait and have the colours match perfectly.

I got one that I never installed but it doesn't have lights and I think there might be a minor crack in it...
Lean With It 06-28-2010, 10:36 AM damn Omega - you got it from Idealcycle.com?
How long did it take to get yours?
I think I had it within about 4-6 days or so...

I have the second set, but check out the above ones for the idea of design.
They slide directly through the frame & into the airbox.
I'm suprised that they haven't caught on in this site.
The mold for the ones I have on my bike was taken off a SRAD Aus SBK (Yoshi design).
They provide way better air flow than the stock tubes, and give better response though the rev range (smoother).
Just my 2c.
They are probably the latest addition to my bike after sprockets, ignition adv, jetting, dyno tune etc.
Next will be cams, high volume carbon/kevlar airbox, flatsides and a bore out.
All just for shits & giggles.
Cheers, Ad
TT750 06-30-2010, 01:59 PM when you change the coolant look at engine ice and water wetter to help keep the temps down maybe do the fan switch mod too
