So, long story short, filled up at Chevron, some pieces of plastic broke off the pump nozzle and found their way into my tank. Two pieces, very thin, 1.5cmx0.75cm. One of them is resting on the gas pump, and I'm kind of concerned.

Am I kosher to ride it to the shop or home, siphon it, remove fuel pump, and sweep debris out, or does it need to get towed? I doubt such a large piece would get sucked into anything, and I don't think it'll block the pump, but would like opinions.
