Might be able to get it from under the gastank, but if not you'll be able to fish it out of the left side fairing i believe.

which one did you get? any how pulling the gas tank makes it real easy. the last three i installed was the DRD from 12oclock labs. plug and play no loss of gear indicater ( on my suzukis' because they have one ) and can recall the
highest speed. GPS checked to with in 1/2 mph .

I have the speedohealer V3 with top speed memory, might be called healtech or something now but anyways just installed it on my 06 750 last weekend. No need to take off the gas tank. Use your gas tank prop rod from your tail section or have a friend hold it up. Locate the speed sensor on the clutch side of the bike, follow the harness back to the motor and connect the speedohealer. Simple 10 minute install. Either tape a Gps to your instrument cluster or set up 3 speeds with another bike. I did 30/45/65mph was off 7/8/9mph. Google speedohealer calculator follow the steps and done. I use actual speed vs indicated to get my instructions.
