Hmmm Ok I am takeing my 03 1K in to the shop to have it put on the dyno for the first time on THursday. The dude said it is 140$ for a baseline reading and a custom map. I know nothing when it comes to this. What should I make sure the guy is doing? How many runs should I be getting? Any advise yall could give me would be great. I will call the shop and ask the questions yall post up here and let yall know what they say. I was gonna take the bike to Jeffw but I am no longer in KS and I dont really know anybody in NC that can reffer me to a good dyno dude.
Thanks

When I had mine remapped after some modifications he ran 38 runs or so. He also did alot of work with the brake portion of the dyno to get the mapping even closer. Then spent a fair amount of time working the on/off throttle transitions.

If you have a pair mod done, undo it. It messes up the O2 reading and the map will not be correct. Tre is ok I believe.

Good luck.

the tre will cause you to lose a few hp, so if you have one, turn it off (if its a switched tre) or remove it for the day (if not switched). there is not a set amount of runs you should get, but make sure they do a few baseline runs (to get a consistent hp mark). then, while they are tuning, make sure they are using the a/f ratio, as well as mapping it through all the gears and transition speeds.

what mods do you have done?

I have a yoshi rs-3 and a K&N airfilter. Thats all, the bike is fast enough without the need of anything else! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
