Why has the press been so uninterested in reporting on this bike?

Thanks to a couple of members here, I caught the Superbike and Motorcycledaily.com squibs, but I'm shocked there's nothing else. The bikes are almost out and we know almost nothing about it. Very strange indeed.

Yamaha did this with their '04 R1, and I interpreted it to be a warning sign. It seemed like Yami purposely didn't want its bike to be compared to the competition until the initial hype-induced rush eased a bit.

Yeah Scott, I know what you mean. I have been looking out for them too. I did post a link to MCN's small article also, did you see that? But I have a different view on why the press seems to be uninterested in this bike...I don't think it is lack of interest, but the fact that the 750 doesn't have any competition and is in a class of it's own. I can see the stategy you mentioned about the R1, because there is true and very high competition in the litre class. Also, I think any true motorcyclist (magazine test riders included) really knows that the 750 is the perfect bike. The quick handling of a 600 and the grunt of a litre bike all in one. There is no rush to get the articles out because the bike is sweet and everyone knows it.
