I've had the flu for the past 5 days. You might remember me asking if you should work out while sick. Well, I hit the gym that day, and then after that the flu socked me good. I have a chokeing cough, fever, etc, so I haven't been to the gym since Wednesday. Also being sick, the doc told me that I need to eat good during my illness, because my body needs the energy from food to fight the flu. So i've been trying to keep strict, but instead of a salad, I have a turkey samich on wheat bread. Or some wheat toast. I hope I kick this shit soon, because I was doing so awesome. I've also had a few bowls of soup, and tons of fluids cause it's good for me http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif But I am feeling like shit, I can't wait to jump back into the gym 2x a day now. Flu, flu go away... don't come back another day http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif

It's pretty common to get sick while your hitting it hard. Your bodies immune system is weak due to the stress that exercise puts on your body. After all exercise is extra stress that your body has to deal with, and the more stress you put on your body the harder it is for your body to fight off the germs and bacteria from everyday living. YOUR BODY CAN ONLY HANDLE SO MUCH STREES BEFORE IT SAYS http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/flipa.gif. I know once you get the fever to work out you want to hit it hard, but it's better to gradually work your self up to 2 a days, that way your body can adjust accordingly, especially after being sick! Just keep drinking prenty of fluids and take a good quality multi-vitamin and you'll be feeling better in no time. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
