Hey!

I just bought a gixxer 600 k7, it got 34horsepower, what do i need to do to get 125horsepower out of it? Its a bike thats beeing rebuilt to a roadracing bike, Not for STREET use.

Thank you!

EDIT:

After request im gonna put the walkthru for how to remove the horsepower restriction on the Suzuki GSX-R 600 K7 here....

-What to do to remove the power restriction on your GSX-R 600 K7:

Normally the power restricted 600/750 K6/K7 ECUs have a non restricted second map set in it. You can switch to the second map set on these ECUs when you cut the black/brown wire to PIN 58.

1.Remove your seat, pretty simple on my trackbike since i only got classfiber with no seat. On non Trackbikes, remove the seat and the rear end of the bike, from the seat and back. The ECU is located under the driver's seat!

Hope this helps more than just me ;)

what country are you located in? i know some require motorcycles to be limited.

125hp? Full superbike build....... and LOTS of money. :wacko

Bigger question is why does the bike only have 34hp? If it is in another country, pretty sure the first thing you will have to get is the stock ECU, which is what is limiting it right now as far as I know

then will the bike start? what about the ECU and the immobilizer?

Im from Norway, we got stupid rules over here. We can buy bikes with 34hp(loweffect) for a cheaper salesprice and lower taxes. And the fulleffect with 125horsepower if you want to have that, but then the price on the bikes get alot higher and taxes are insanely high.

Huh? What?

Hell if I know anything about an immobilizer. They get bikes over there with 34hp kit ECUs. The bike can be upgraded to the stock ECU as you graduate through their license system........ as I understand it at least. :dunno

most of us on here are from America and we do not have restricted bikes. you may have to ask around in Norway...

Do a search, there's been a few other people on here from the other side of the pond who have purchased HP restricted bikes and what they had to do to bring them back to regular stock output.

BTW, a GSXR-600 doesn't make anywhere close to 125hp unrestricted. It makes about 105. You're going to need a decent amount of money to punch it out another 20hp from there if that's what you are thinking.

Thats very right ;)

Ok, thank you..i'll check around, maybe someone from Norway or some place near Norway knows anything about it!

by the way: Cant i just cut the wire on the ECU? If thats possible, can any1 tell me what wire it is?

If you start cutting wired on the ECU haphazardly you'll be looking for a new ECU anyway LOL :D

I've heard its possible to cut the a wire/pull it out from the ECU to get more effect out of the engine, the wire puts a restriction on the bike, which doesnt allow the bike to have more than 34 horsepower.

Well, start cutting each wire to the ECU one by one and let us know what happens. :)

Theres no need to cut everyone, dumbass:p I found out which one it is, did it and took the bike for a testdrive....much more power now. 5 min job for 80hp more.

So you can keep those arrogant replies to yourself ;):flipoff

can you post it here with a pic and wire color/location for the next person to ask?

Does anyone know if this is possible in reverse? I have a full power ECU and am looking to restrict it.

Do full power ECUs come with 2 maps the same way factory restricted ones do? :scratch
