My recovery time after working out with weights is ridiculous. Last Saturday I worked out my legs and it's only today that I can walk without some major soreness. It also seriously cuts into how much cardio I can do, jogging with my legs this sore was ridiculous. FU hack squats or whatever the hell they are called http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/flipa.gif

She did good. She had a plate on each side for the leg press.
Granted it sucked really bad when I had to take 4 plates from each side in between sets.

There are three leg presses at the 24 hour I go to. It just happened that people were on the other ones.
Next time we do legs I am gonna have her do squats with smith machine.

hahaha

Yah, recovery time starts to decrease as you get in better shape. When i first started squats it was terrible the 1st 2 weeks, but its been ok now, and i'm even lifting more now http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I am a firm beliver that with legs being such a large muscle group they need plenty of recovery. Two days just isn't enough. They may not be sore in two days but they for sure aren't ready for an intense workout. That is a great way to work yourself into time off from an injury. I train legs once a week and go hog wild on them. I suppose that I would rather have to much recovery time than not enough.
