Just wondering if they are worth it...

Ok, I have a limited amount of time. I have 2 friends that are selling their edge evolution and they already have a couple buyers. They are just waiting on me and neither knows of the other, lol.

I call edge and they stated that programmer only give me 25 horsepower.

The bottomline, is it worth it? A diesel will definately make it worth it! But unleaded? How much HP should I expect to gain with the programmer, the exhaust and the intake and is it something you'd actually notice? Is it true you have to run 91 octane minimum and if so, the trucks aren't make to run at compression as high as a vette or a motorcycle. It can't possibly utilize correctly that octane of fuel, right?

Or will I be paying for an expensive device to tell me engine and trannie temps (which already is given), mpg, trash the govenor, and a code reader?

So what's the deal?

I really don't want to waste my money on somethign that isn't going to achieve much.

he does great work. you get a "new" PCM you just plug in and keep your stock one just in case. i think i spent $150 for a custom tune iirc.

as long as a tuner has the ability to upload and download custom dyno tunes your set. until you start talking really big numbers.
