i need some input as im not really a japanese car person

i am looking at getting something like an accord, 98-01, in stick, doesnt matter about options, as long as air and heat, and good on gas.

i cannot really think of anything else.
i will not own a civic, i am not that guy.

i would like a maxima in similar years, but i am finding it hard to find a manual maxima, or the ones i do find are 7,000

what are your thoughts on the maxima, accord vehicles?
most are around 130,000mi. which i assume is not such a big deal.

any other vehicles i should be looking at?
