Now my computer has all these warnings like "have you been surfing porn" and pics of girls giving blow are always poping up. and my home page is set and it wont go back to normal. What an idiot . !!!! My mother uses this computer and I need these things gone for good. Help!! I've never understood the logic behind pissing off people who frequent your site so they won't come back. I'll admit I'm as big a perv as the next guy but I haven't gone to a porn site for years, all because of the crap you get hammered with. What OS are you running? You run behind a firewall, right? I am not all that familiar with anything other than Win95/98, but I know the cure for this. Bostitch 02-28-2004, 02:00 PM Download Spybot Seach and destroy. That program should clean out most of it. It can also be used to block most of that stuff out. Now some of those sites also load a kind of trojan that will keep changing your host file. You might have to run a Anti-virus program to discover what it is then clean it. And Im running XP and I dont think im behind any fire wall. I have the same problem with my homepage on my school computer and that has Win 98. So yes please give me the antidote. GixxerTib 02-29-2004, 12:11 AM also goto www.download.com (http://www.download.com) and download Ad-aware. It'll search and get rid of the ad's too. Make sure you update the ad-aware once installed for the latest file...just click the internet update checker on the top right of the program. to get rid of the homepage goto tools and then to internet options while running internet explorer. The general page has a homepage box....just delete the old one and put in the new one. | ||
