Hello all, just posting up to introduce myself.
As the thread title says, this is my first Gixxer and 2nd bike. My first bike is an 01 SV650S that I bought new back in 2000 and now has about 21,000 miles on it.
It's an '05 750 with less than 1000 miles on it that I bought from a friend of a friend who had wrecked it doing a wheelie. The main damage was a bent swing arm, some plastic rash (mostly on the tail cowl and the right side fairing has a small crack on the bottom, but all very usable), rear wheel and tire. He had bought a new swing arm, rear wheel and tire already but needed to get rid of the bike. It also came with the stock can and a Muzzy slip on, both undamaged. So basically I just have to reassemble the bike and get a few misc parts. Right now I just need a new chain (we had to cut the old chain to install the new swing arm), left rear set bracket and foot peg, throttle tube and grips, right pillion foot rest (already ordered). I may possibly need to get a new front cowl as well (the previous owner is checking to see if he has it still). I'm sure I'll need some misc nuts and bolts as well. Anyway, if all goes well I should have this thing on road within a few weeks!
