I am trying hard to get bike wrapped up by saturday. I have done all the searching on here and read for hours. Cant find the answer.

I know boostin knows the answer, but anyone with a clue plz help

I have k8 600

Have an mps t kill airshifter. All hooked up and works, just trying to hookup my autoshift. I am not using a button, only the autoshift.

What wire has an rpm signal either low or high voltage? my summit rpm switch takes either.

Im in garage with bike all night, I have alot of work to do. Thx guys.

I looked at boostins last post on his rpm switch hookup, the one with pic, but didnt quite follow it.

Also why the relay and light on some setups?

THX a million

negative side of any of the coils. Should be the any of the wires that you tapped onto for the kill to the coils.

The neg on the coils will give me an rpm signal? I have a t kill so i had to interrupt the positive on the coils, because they come to one wire farther down the harness.

okay sorry, but yes the negative side of the number one coil. The number one coil is on the stator side. That will give you rpm.

coils go 1-4 starting on the left side if sitting on bike correct? Should I just slide some wire back and soldier my new wire to existing neg wire or is there a better way? thx man for all the help

Replied to your PM. And Jason is right, its the negative not positive. Its been a while. But I explained the relay process for you. I think Blankenship has a part number for a 4 prong.

You two have helped me finish the first mod I bought at the beginning of winter and had been pushed aside as one of the last. thx a million

I may be jumping into to the middle of this. If I am repeating
something that has already been said, sorry...

I have a similar set up on an 06 1000 gsxr. I can not say for sure
that the wires are color coded the same. But I can tell you what I
did.

I am using a Dyna Shift Minder connected to a relay to make my shifts.
I get my signal from the (tach output) I tied into the wire under the
seat. A couple inches from the (ECM).

On the 06 1000 gsxr it a yellow wire with a thin blue stripe.
Terminal # 37 on the wiring diagram.

I have the same set up on my Buell. There I had to tap into the coil wires.
No need to on the GSXR, Much neater and easier to get the signal off the tach out put.

Is this what you're looking for?
