Any gixxer riders from Honolulu or anywhere on the island of Oahu?

Where do you guys ride mostly around here? I had planned on having my new '04 by march 1st, but I've opted to go 750, so it'll be a few more weeks. Either of you gone to this track here? I've heard about it, but everytime I go down there it's always the dragstrip that's open. Anyways, hope to see you around the island. Would love to have someone to ride with!

Track open on Sundays, check the schedule at hrra.net. There's a group of riders who meet at Magic Island on Sunday around 1 PM.

A friend of mine is moving to Hilo Hawaii and he wants to ship his bike but the prices are off the roof. Do any of you know the cheapest place to use.

use dhl or was it dhx.... one of those. I shipped a bike from florida to honolulu and it costed me 600.00. thats pretty cheap and it got here in a couple of weeks

I was there from 6/3 to 6/7. I saw a few huge groups roll through Waikiki on Sunday I think it was... I recall seeing a 04 1K, a couple 00-03 750's, 04 R1, etc.

Can't tomorrow (gotta spend time with the girl), but next Saturday or Sunday I'm wide open. I've heard there's a big group that goes out from the park in Aiea around 2:00 pm every Sunday. I'll confirm or we can set up a ride just for the gixxers. Whaddya think?

It was kinda good that you were busy, my tank didn't comeback friday like I thought it would. It should definately be back this week monday or tuesday. So next week both sat and sun I am free also. I will ride with whoever.... whenever.

Got the tank back... I ran her yesterday and all is well. I just need the side farinings back, but I will definately ride this weekend with or without the sides. My fuel pump was leaking so it sealed it, but that was the only problem I ran into. I already put all the decals on too. Let me know if 2pm in aiea or whatever the plans are. Later, Tony

hey guys, i konw its a little bit off topic, but im moiving to oahu on august 3rd. im selling my bike here in california and buying one over there. does ANYone have links to motorcycle dealers in hawaii? Or does anyone know where i can get a good deal?
i want ot be riding as soon as possible once i get there.
Oh and once ive got my bike over there, ill be riding with you guys whenever i can!

Expect to pay more that you would in California. We have a local Suzuki dealer here (Cycle Sports). They are cool but for a good used bike, I would check in the local papers and in the Buy and Sell (a free publication with pictures of the vehicles). Definitely let us know when you get your bike!

Talk to not2brekinwit he's become my new hook up for all things motorcycle. Most of the used bikes are gone right now since all the military types are deployed right now.....

As a sidebar, anyone see that blue yama that bit it Thursday night? I drove by that on my way back from waikiki about 9:50 looked bad. I don't think they were wearing helmets though.....

ive heard of a few good companies. does anyone whos shipped to hawaii know if its a hassle or not? and is it worth it?
ive heard good things about jcmotors.com so i checked em out and its 1300 to ship my bike... is that alot?
