What is the best seat out there for the 1000 custom or not? There was a seat on here in one of the banners that I can't find anywhere looked good almost as if it had inserts in it.

You're probably thinking of Luimoto but Corbin, also a sponsor, has always had premium products.

I personally think Sargent makes a nice seat. Expensive though.

I believe you saw the new Saddleman seats. They are new to sport bikes, but have been in the cruiser scene for awhile. Corbin makes seats for 1000's, Sargent for older ones, and does rebuilds for new ones. I went with a sargent rebuild.

I've been thinking about getting a seat for my k5. What's the most comfortable seat out there? Are they gel or just padded foam and leather?

He has pretty fast turn around, like a couple days. The quality and comfort is unrivaled.

I've done some 3 hour rides and the stocker seems to be just fine for me.

I had a Corbin on my 02 Bandit 1200 six years ago. If the bike hadn't come with the seat I would have been upset if I had shelled out the required coin to get the Corbin.

I just put the saddlemen tech seat on our shop bike and have a few hundred miles with it and so far I love it. It surely looks different, but damn is it cumfy.

That saddlemen tech seat looks like it would be cumfy. Not sure on the look of it though. Not that it's a terrible look, but I think you're accurate in saying it looks "different." The corbin seat has a subtle look to it, but the point of putting one of these seats on is for comfort. If I wanted looks I'd go luimoto.

Whatever you do don't waste your money on the suzuki gel seat. That thing is shit. Rock hard when the weather gets cold and ball roasting hot in the summer.

I took my seat off my K6 and took it to an upholster (charged $40) and had him round out the seat and add 3/4" more foam to it...what a freakin difference it made!! Im getting the passenger seat done for my wife now for $20. I also made a custom back rest for her (:flipoff dont ask i know its gay but we do what we gotta do to keep the wheels rolling) and he's doing that for $40! So for a cool $100 i got all that done!!! Shop around and good luck!!! :punk

i've ridden a ducati st4 with both a Corbin seat and a Sargent seat and the biggest difference is the shape. the corbin is smoother/rounder and the sargent is more angular (shaped more like the stock seat), personally, i liked the corbin better because the sargent dug into my leg/butt

Do we get any sort of discount from Corbin with them being a site sponsor and all?

@ Diggler, Sorry for the late reply but that dumb ass upholster guy couldnt figure it out so I had to go home figure something else out and take it back to him. Should be done tomorrow, but we will see. If you can picture two "L" shape brackets that go into a car headrest (which I had headrest monitors in and I pulled them out to use the head rest) with a board i cut out to fit inside and mounted another bracket to the brackets inside. All he has to do is fill in the empty space and reupholster it...I also used my old license plate light and drilled out a good portion of the plastic behind the reflector to add a running light to the seat. Sounds weird but makes the wife happy I guess lol!! :lmao I'll try and get picks up after tomorrow but we will see with this guy! Thanks

Wow, sounds like quite the setup. Lol can't even begin to picture it. Makes the wife happy and guess it beats selling the bike to buy something gay just to make her more comfortable.
